Distribution of Social Security Allowances Through a Mobile Camp

Maiwakhola Rural Municipality Ward No. 6 has distributed social security allowances through a camp to senior citizens, senior Dalits above 60 years of age, senior single women, widows, fully and partially “B” category persons with disabilities, and Dalit children.

After receiving social security allowances through the integrated mobile camp held in Phakumba on May 7, 2026, beneficiaries in Phakumba, Ward No. 6 of Maiwakhola Rural Municipality, were delighted.

A total of 78 senior citizens received their allowance payments at the mobile camp held in the premises of Mahendra Secondary School in Phakumba.

The beneficiaries expressed happiness after receiving social security allowances right at their doorstep through the mobile camp. Previously, they had to visit banks or the ward office to collect their payments, so elderly citizens were especially pleased to receive the funds at home this time.

Tam Kumar Limbu, Chief of the Registration Section of the rural municipality, said that the allowances were distributed through the mobile camp organized by the municipality.

He added that the distribution was carried out in coordination with Laxmi Sunrise Bank, located in Sanghu, the municipality’s center.

Ward Secretary Sang Bahadur Sherpa of Phakumba stated that although more than 120 beneficiaries receive social security allowances in the ward, payments were distributed to 78 beneficiaries who attended the camp. He further said that allowances were provided to senior citizens, senior Dalits above 60 years, senior single women, widows, persons with full and partial disability in category “B”, and Dalit children.

Laxmi Maya Gomden, Acting Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, said that services from 13 different sections, including the registration section, were provided through the integrated mobile camp organized by the municipality. According to the municipality’s plan to conduct mobile camps in all six wards, the third-day camp was held on May 6, 2026. Earlier, camps had been conducted in Wards No. 1 and 2 in Dhungesanghu.

Chairperson Bijau Prakash Wanem stated that the integrated mobile camp was organized with the objective of delivering services directly to citizens, especially senior citizens, at their doorsteps.
