Siraha District Police Office took 23 inmates from Siraha District Jail into custody on April 21, on charges of attempting to seize internal administration within the jail.
According to DSP Ramesh Bahadur Pal of the Siraha District Police Office, after receiving information on April 19, that a group of inmates, including Shambhu Gautam and Ramdev Yadav, had removed prison guard Prem Chaudhary from the facility and attempted to take control of the internal administration, the police detained 23 inmates and kept them at the Siraha District Police Office.
DSP Pal further stated that the jail administration has initiated the process of transferring the inmates.
