On April 10 2026, a Human Rights Support Desk was formed in Kathmandu under the organization of the Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC), Bagmati Province Office.
In the said meeting, Deputy Secretary Shyam Babu Kafle of the Legal Affairs Division of the National Human Rights Commission emphasized the need to strengthen this support desk by involving many organizations, making it more coordinated, and reinforcing the recommendation mechanism.

Similarly, INSEC Bagmati Province Coordinator Shiva Prasad Khakurel stated that if the Human Rights Support Desk can be developed as an active loose network within Bagmati Province, it would be possible to provide victims with financial, legal, and situational support.
The meeting further decided that INSEC would serve as the secretariat, and eight organizations, CWIN, National Network of Women Human Rights Defenders, ROYM Nepal, The Himalayan Innovative Society, JCYCN, Shakti Samuha, and Saathi, would be included as member organizations, while the National Human Rights Commission would serve as an advisory member.
It was also decided that the coordinator would be selected in the next meeting, and that OCMC, the Nepal Bar Association, as well as relevant governmental and non-governmental organizations, would be included.
