Resham Bahadur Khadka, 66 of Buddhabhumi Municipality-2, Gorusinge, has been sentenced to three months in jail by the Kapilvastu District Court for sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl.
The bench of Judge Ram Prasad Basyal at the Kapilvastu District Court, in a hearing held on March 28, 2026, found the accused guilty and sentenced him to three months of imprisonment, a fine of Rs. 3,000, and ordered him to pay Rs. 10,000 in compensation to the victim, according to Court Registrar Ananta Marasini.
The victim’s family had filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, on December 6, 2025, alleging that the accused had sexually abused the minor on the same day.
The victim underwent a medical examination on December 6 at Kapilvastu Hospital, Taulihawa. The accused was arrested by police on the same day.
