A prisoner who had escaped from Dillibazar Prison Office, Kathmandu, during the Gen-Z protest has been arrested by the police from Damak.
Sanjog Bhattarai, 34, a resident of Damak Municipality-8, who had escaped on September 9 while serving a sentence in a drug-related case at Dillibazar Prison, was arrested by the police on March 31.
According to DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, the escaped prisoner was apprehended from Pashuhat, Damak Municipality-8.
After completing the necessary legal procedures, Bhattarai has been sent back to Dillibazar Prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.
