The District Court of Rupandehi has sentenced Milan BK, 18, a permanent resident of Sandhikharka Municipality–6, Arghakhanchi District, currently living in Devi Nagar, Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City–11, to six months imprisonment for sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl.
According to Padam Aryal, information officer of the District Court, Judge Indra Bahadur Kathayat, in the bench on March 24, found the accused guilty and handed down the sentence of six months’ imprisonment, a fine of Rs. 10,000, compensation of Rs. 100,000 to the victim, and an additional Rs. 8,000 to be deposited in the Victim Relief Fund.
The victim had filed a complaint at the Rupandehi District Police Office on February 27, alleging that the accused had sexually abused her on the same day. The police arrested Milan BK from his home on February 27, and the victim underwent a medical examination at Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa, on the same day.
