The police arrested a 16-year-old boy on March 7 on charges of killing after raping Enisha BK, 16, originally from Gubhrakot Municipality-6, Badakholi, and currently residing at Birendragar Municipality-1 on the same day. The post-mortem was conducted on March 8 at the provincial hospital. On the afternoon of March 7, the girl’s body was found hanging in the Janajagaran Community Forest located in Birendranagar Municipality–4. For further investigation, other boys aged 15, 16, and 17 were also taken into custody on March 8, and an investigation has been initiated, according to DSP Mohanjung Budhathapa of the District Police Office. The deceased girl was a Grade 11 student. The relatives of the deceased have demanded action against the perpetrators, stating that she was murdered after being gang-raped.
