Shivkumari Devi Sada, 35 of Rajbiraj Municipality–15, was hit by a four-wheeler (Province 2-06-001 Jha 0005) driven by Bidyanand Chaudhary, 28, Chairperson of Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality, on Hanumannagar Road on February 16. The injured Sada is currently undergoing treatment at Chhinnamasta Hospital.
According to Hospital Coordinator Dipendra Yadav, she has been kept at the hospital due to non-payment of treatment expenses after her medical care. He stated that approximately Rs. 27,000 has been spent on her treatment, and since the Rural Municipality Chairperson has not come into contact, the hospital has retained the injured woman. Coordinator Yadav added that repeated attempts to reach the Chairperson have received no response.
The victim’s son, Amarnath Mandal,18, said that due to their weak financial condition, they have been unable to pay the hospital bills.
