Journalist Pawan Kumar Shah, 38, of Biratnagar Metropolitan City–14, Rani, has alleged that Jitendra Bahadur Khadka, 42, of Sainik Tol, Biratnagar Metropolitan City–13, threatened him over a news report.
According to the victim journalist, the accused grabbed him by the collar and threatened him while he was collecting information about alleged irregularities in an ongoing road construction project in Biratnagar–13.
The journalist filed a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Rani, on February 20.
The Morang branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists also issued a statement on February 20, condemning the incident.
