A complaint was filed by the victim’s family on February 13 at the judicial committee of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan-11, accusing Sambhunath Thakur, 35, a teacher at the Shree Sakal Kanya Secondary School, of sexually abusing a 13-year-old student of the same school on February 11, during school hours.
According to the Deputy Mayor of the Sub-Metropolitan and the Chairperson of the judicial committee, Kishori Shah, the legal proceedings will initiate after the accused is found guilty.
As the investigation is ongoing, the teacher has been suspended for the time being, according to the principal, Krishna Karna.
