Black Paint Splashed on the Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Sanskrit University

The Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Sanskrit University, Prof. Dr. Dhaneshwar Nepal, 56, of Dullu, Dailekh, was misbehaved and humiliated by an unidentified group on January 6, during which black paint was splashed on him.

According to Dang District Police Office DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah, a group of 5–6 individuals arrived at his residence and carried out the misbehavior and abuse. Shah stated that the police are searching for those involved in the beating and the act of humiliation by splashing black paint.

Accusing the Vice-Chancellor of encouraging irregularities and corruption within the university, Prem Prashant Bohara, in charge of the Nepal Communist Party (Bahumat)-affiliated student organization ANNFSU (Revolutionary) in Lumbini Province, issued a press statement on December 21, claiming responsibility for the incident.

DSP Shah further informed that the police are investigating the incident.
