The police have reported that weapons looted from the Area Police Office, Damak, located at Thana Road in Damak Municipality–6 during the Gen Z movement on September 9, 2025, were found abandoned on Poush 4.
According to the police, the firearms and ammunition looted from the Area Police Office, Damak, were recovered in an unattended condition. On December 19, three INSAS rifles, 134 rounds of .303 live ammunition, five rounds of SLR live ammunition, 20 rounds of INSAS live ammunition, and three ammunition magazines were found.
Local residents spotted some firearms and ammunition lying unattended in a bamboo grove along the bank of the Ratuwa River in Buddha Tol, Ward No. 1 of Damak Municipality. They informed the Area Police Office, Damak. Following this, a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Damak, under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Police Kishor Lamsal, recovered the weapons.
The District Police Office, Jhap, stated that the recovered weapons have been brought to the Area Police Office, Damak.
