Police arrested Akhlesh Sahani,42, of Omsatiya Rural Municipality-5 on 29 November for charges of caste-based discrimination against Udayaraj Chamar,65, of the same place. The aggrieved party had filed a complaint at the Rupandehi District Police Office on 20 October alleging the accused’s involvement in caste-based discrimination on 18 October.
DSP Suraj Karki of the District Police Office stated that the accused has been taken into custody and further action has been initiated.
