Police arrested Dipak Basnet,32 of Chandranigahapur Municipality-4 and Harinarayan Chaudhary,43 of Chandranigahapur municipality-8 on 2 December for the charges of setting fire to and vandalizing government property during the protests on 9 September.
Inspector Dinesh Thapa of the Area Police Office stated that the accused were arrested on the basis of CCTV footage, which showed them involved in vandalizing the building and vehicles of the Area Police Office, as well as setting fire and causing damage to government property on 9 September.
