The jail administration has reported the death of Gangabahadur Limbu, 57, of Pathari Shanishchare Municipality-4, on 19 November at the District Jail Office, Morang. Tulsi Paudel, Information Officer at the District Jail, Morang, stated that Limbu was imprisoned on charges of indecent behavior. Gangabahadur Limbu had been admitted to Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar on the night of 18 November after experiencing difficulty breathing and numbness in his legs. He died during treatment on the morning of 19 November.
The District Administration Office, Morang, had demanded a bail of Rs 10,000 against him under indecent behavior case. He was sent to jail on 19 August after he was unable to pay the bail. The jail administration has informed that the victim’s family has been notified about the incident. The Information Officer, Paudel, stated that the victim’s family has planned to receive the body on 21 November.
