An outbreak of diarrhea that began on October 20 in Musahari Tole of Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality-5 has claimed the lives of two children and one senior citizen. The deceased are one-year-old Sanjiv Sada, four-year-old Raghani Sada, and Laxman Sada,60.
According to Shiva Shankar Sada, a resident, more than a dozen people in the settlement have shown symptoms of diarrhea so far. Those affected include Lilam Sada, 26, four-year-old Gayatri Sada, and six-year-old Sugandha Sada from the family of Manar Sada; seven-year-old Aman Sada from the family of Shiva Kumar Sada; two-year-old Shristi Sada from the family of Dilchan Sada; and eight-year-old Karina Sada from the family of Ghuran Sada.
Ward Chairperson Jaya Prakash Thakur said that diarrhea has been spreading rapidly in Musahari Tole, and local health workers have begun treating the affected families and conducting awareness campaigns in the area.
