Police arrested Salman Daphali,23, of Sudhodhan Rural Municipality-3, Maharaniya, on October 22, for the charge of abducting and raping a 25-year-old woman. According to the complaint filed by the victim’s side at the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, on October 22, the accused had allegedly abducted, held the woman captive and raped her on October 9. The victim underwent a medical examination on October 22 at Kapilvastu Hospital, Taulihawa.
