On October 5, 2025, police arrested 55-year-old Jeet Bahadur Kahar from Kapilvastu Municipality–1, Naya Hatbazaar, for allegedly sexually abusing a nine-year-old girl.
According to the victim’s side, the incident occurred on October 2, and a written complaint was filed at the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, on October 7.
DSP Ritendra Kumar Singh of the District Police Office, Kapilvastu, stated that action was taken based on the complaint provided by the victim.
The victim underwent a medical examination at Kapilvastu Hospital, Tauhiva, on October 5.
