Sangita Kumari Yadav,24, filed a complaint against her husband, 25-year-old Dhirendra Yadav, 25, at the Police Post in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-21, Kurtha on 24 September, alleging that on 22 February 2025 he physically abused her while demanding additional dowry.
According to Senior Constable Ramchandra Mandal of the Kurtha Police Post, the victim stated in her complaint that less than four months into their marriage, her husband repeatedly demanded additional dowry, subjected her to beating and inflicted mental torture.
