In Golbajar Municipality-13, the 16-year-old boy was abducted and killed by an unknown group on September 21. On the morning of September 23, his body was found in a mango field near his home. According to the aggrieved party, on September 21 they received a message on their son’s phone about the abduction and a demand of Rs 5,00,00,000, following which the boy’s mother filed a complaint at the Golbajar Police Station on September 22.
SP Anntaram Sharma of the District Police Office, Siraha, stated that on September 22 the police received information about the boy’s abduction. While the police were investigating, they were informed the next morning that the boy’s body had been found. Upon receiving this information, teams from the district and the province, along with dogs, went to the scene for investigation. Based on the condition of the body, the boy may have been killed on September 21, however, further details will only be known after the post-mortem. SP Sharma stated that the body was sent for post-mortem to the BP Science Institute in Dharan on September 23.
SP Sharma stated that, for the investigation of the incident, eight people, including suspicious relatives, have been taken into custody as the investigation proceeds.
