Two Women Found Dead in House Set Ablaze by Protesters in Pokhara

During the Gen Z protests, the body of a woman was found in the burned building of Anshubhara Group, owned by Gandaki Province Minister and businessman Bindukumar Thapa, in Lakeside. The police reported that the charred body was discovered on the morning of 10 September

Similarly, another woman’s body was found inside a car showroom at the residence of Dhruva Thapa, brother of Bindukumar Thapa, in Naya Bazar. According to the police, the body was completely burned. Protesters vandalized, looted, and set fire to Minister Thapa’s private residence, the Anshubhara Group building, Bagaincha Resort, and his brother Dhruva Thapa’s house and car showroom

On 9 September, protesters vandalized and set fire to key government offices and official residences in Pokhara, including the homes of Mayor Dhanraj Acharya and leader Rajiv Pahari, Bharat Pahari’s Hotel Sarobar, and Jitu Gurung’s Barpipal Resort.
