According to INSEC Rupandehi representative Rima BC, on Bhadra 24, Gen-Z protesters carried out acts of vandalism at various locations in Rupandehi.
In Butwal, they vandalized and set fire to the Lumbini Province party office of the CPN-UML. Protesters also surrounded the Butwal Area Police Office and demonstrated in front of the Devdaha Municipality office. They further gathered in front of the District Administration Office, Rupandehi with the slogans. According to DSP Indra Bahadur Rana of the Butwal Area Police Office, protesters surrounded political party offices, the municipal office, and the area police office, among others, and carried out vandalism. He added that the police were exercising restraint, and therefore no untoward incident had taken place.
According to INSEC Kapilvastu representative Rima BC, protesters vandalized various locations in Kapilvastu. They damaged the offices of the CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress in Taulihawa. Human rights activist Ram Dayal Thakur stated that the house of former minister Dip Kumar Upadhyay was also vandalized, resulting in damage to the property. DSP Ritendra Kumar Singh of the District Police Office stated that protesters caused damage to political party offices, the Land Revenue and Survey Offices, but there were no human casualties.
According to INSEC Banke representative Dhrubaraj Sharma, protesters set fire to and vandalized several government offices in Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City, including the District Administration Office, Land Revenue Office, District Court, Tulsipur High Court, Survey Office, Sub-metropolitan Office, and the Internal Revenue Office. Protesters set tires on fire at intersections, beginning their demonstrations from the Sub-metropolitan Office and spreading to Pushpalal Chowk, BP Chowk, Dhambojhi Chowk, and beyond. Police posts located at several intersections were also vandalized and set ablaze. Protesters reached the District Administration Office, where they set tires and firewood ablaze at the gate and burned government documents and furniture. Government buildings were vandalized, and all official records were set on fire. Flames and smoke were seen coming from the Land Revenue Office, District Court, Tulsipur High Court, Survey Office, Internal Revenue Office, and Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan Office.
According to INSEC Dang representative Jaynarayan Pun, the Chief District Officer, Bishwaprakash Aryal, issued a notice on Bhadra 24 prohibiting movement, gatherings, rallies, demonstrations, assemblies, sit-ins, and blockades from 6 p.m. until further notice. The restricted areas included the Provincial Assembly, Chief Ministers and Council of Ministers’ offices, Bhalubang market area, Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City, and Lamahi Municipality. On the same day, protesters vandalized and set fire to two CPN-UML offices in Ghorahi and Tulsipur, the Nepali Congress District Party Office in Ghorahi, and the CPN-Maoist Centre District Party Office in Ghorahi. They also set fire to and vandalized the Survey Office in Ghorahi, Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan Office, Ward Office of Ghorahi-15, the Area Administration Office in Tulsipur, the Sub-metropolitan Office of Tulsipur, and the Internal Revenue Office. Likewise, the house of Provincial Assembly member Raju Khanal in Ghorahi was also vandalized and set on fire.
From the Tulsipur Jail, Dang, 124 inmates escaped. Jail Administrator Gir Bahadur Sejuwal stated that, citing the escape of all prisoners from Nakkhu Jail on the same day, inmates broke through the main gate and fled. Police fired warning shots, but the prisoners still managed to escape. Out of 179 prisoners housed in Block B, only 55 remained. Out of a total of 469 inmates, 345 are now left in Tulsipur Prison.
According to INSEC Arghakhanchi representative Kul Bahadur Nepali, protests in the district headquarters of Sandhikharka began at 7 a.m. and continued until 7:30 p.m. No human casualties occurred, but all district-level party offices were vandalized. Among them, the CPN-UML party office was repeatedly set on fire during rallies. The District Coordination Committee office was partially vandalized. The Sandhikharka Municipality Office and Ward No. 2 office were partially set on fire. The house of Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya was also set on fire. The Nepali Congress party office was vandalized. The District Administration Office of Arghakhanchi issued a curfew order from 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Bhadra 24, but protesters ignored the order, continuing with vandalism and arson. When protesters attempted to attack Arghakhanchi Prison, police fired two rounds into the air to disperse them.
According to INSEC Pyuthan representative Rabindra Pandey, young protesters vandalized and set fire to the CPN-UML District Party Office in Bizuwar Municipality-4,Pyuthan and the CPN-Maoist Centre District Party Office in Jummri Municipality-4, Pyuthan. The District Administration Office of Pyuthan issued a curfew order starting at 4 p.m. on September 9 until further notice, to minimize potential risks of protests, rallies, and clashes. Issued by Chief District Officer Dipak Raj Nepal under Section 6(a) of the Local Administration Act, 1971, the order banned all forms of assemblies, rallies, hunger strikes, sit-ins, blockades, demonstrations, and protest programs. The curfew areas included the entire main market area from Quadi Beluwa Chowk to Bagdula Bridge, from Mitramani Chowk in Bizuwar to the Pyuthan Municipality Office, and the entire Khalanga Bazaar area.
According to INSEC Gulmi representative Toplal Aryal, protesters vandalized both the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress party offices.
