A group of unknown assailants vandalized the ward office and health post at Hanku Rural Municipality, Tatopani Rural Municipality-4 on the night of August 22. The group broke into both the ward office and the Hanku Health Post, vandalized the office and robbed the office property. Ward Chairperson Amar Bahadur Rokaya of Ward No. 4 reported that the group stole several items including a laptop, the national flag, t-shirts, stored salt, and Rs 11,300 collected from salt sales.
On the morning of August 23, an office assistant informed the police stating that the doors of the ward chairperson’s office and storeroom were open. DSP Rabin Babu Regmi of the Jumla District Police Office stated that they are searching for the absconding group.
