Ram Bahadur Bisunke, 26, of Nilkantha Municipality–10, Dhodeni Jyamrung, Dhading, has filed a complaint against Ward Member Hima Pathak, 45, of the same ward, at the District Police Office on 18 August. He alleged that Pathak verbally abused him with derogatory remarks on the basis of his caste and threatened to kill him on 4 August during a dispute over irrigation of farmland. In the complaint, the victim demanded legal action, stating that the act was in violation of the Caste-Based Discrimination and Untouchability (Offense and Punishment) Act, 2011.
DSP Subash Hamal, Information Officer at the District Police Office Dhading, reported that a complaint had been registered regarding the incident.
