Police arrested Riyaj Khan, 50, of Narainapur Rural Municipality-1, Mahatiniya also the Ward member of the Rural Municipality on June 9 for attempting to rape a 42-year-old woman. The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office Bhagwanpur on may 25 alleging that he attempted to rape the woman on April 21.
The health examination of the victim was done on May 25 at the Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj.
