The bench of the District Court Judge Ashok Kumar Basnet on June 8 sentenced Devedin Teli alias Kallu, 21, of Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality-11 to three months imprisonment for sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl. Along with the imprisonment, the accused was also ordered to pay a fine of Rs 10,000, and Rs 40,000 as compensation.
The aggrieved party had filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Lumbini on March 9, 2025 alleging that the accused had sexually abused the girl on March 6. The health examination of the victim was done on March 8 at the Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa.
