The bench of District Court Judge Durga Gurung on May 22 sentenced Ashok Sunar, 18, of Madi Municipality-6 to 12-years-imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 500,000 for raping a 15-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office on February 1, stating that the accused had raped the girl on January 30, 2024. The police had arrested the accused on January 31. The health examination of the girl was done at Bharatpur Hospital on January 31.
