Yadav Khatiwada, Ward Chairperson of Gramthan Rural Municipality-2, has accused Rural Municipality Chair Namonarayan Majhi of issuing a death threat against him. He alleged that Majhi used abusive language and threatened to kill him during a program held at Pidarwani Health Post, located in Gramthan Rural Municipality-2, on 14 May 2025.
The aggrieved party alleged that the Rural Municipality Chair issued a death threat, claiming that the municipality’s development and other activities had been affected because of the cases filed against him and the obstruction in his assigned duties. However, Chair Majhi denied threatening the Ward Chair, stating that he merely exchanged a few words because the Ward Chair had failed to serve the people. CPN-UML issued a press release on May 17, demanding protection for Ward Chair Khatiwada and action against the accused.
