Police arrested Amit Chaudhary, 22, of Ghodaghodi Municipality-2, Sadepani on May 1 for attempting to rape a 27-year-old woman.
Pal Bahadur Chaudhary, a local resident of Sadhepani, informed that a complaint was filed at the Area Police Office, Sukhad alleging that the accused attempted to rape the victim on May 1 under the influence of alcohol. Based on the same complaint, the accused has been taken into custody and the investigation is underway, according to Inspector Lokraj Joshi of the Area Police Office, Sukhad. Inspector Joshi further informed that the health examination of the victim is prepared to be done on May 2 at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi.
