The body of a 19-year-old woman Bimala Kattel from Phakhphokthum Rural Municipality-3 Salleri, who had been missing for 15 days, was found buried on March 28 as per DSP Man Bahadur Rai of the District Police Office. DSP Rai said that police found Bimala’s body at Duidharne Khop Dahalgolai in Phakhphokthum Rural Municipality and said that they would proceed with the investigation after completing legal procedures. Bimala had been missing since March 14 and her father-in-law, Krishna Lal Giri, filed a missing report with the police on March 17.
Bimala’s 25-year-old husband, Umesh Giri, is suspected of being involved in her killing. The police arrested Umesh Giri on March 28. The postmortem of the body is scheduled to take place at the district hospital on March 28, as per the police.
