Police arrested Devraj Karki,62, of Sundar Haraicha Municipality-10, Birat Chowk on March 21 for character assassinating a 40-year-old woman. The 40-year-old victim, a lawyer, and human rights activist, filed a complaint at the District Police Office on March 16 against the accused under the Electronic Transactions Act.
On March 14, the victim shared an online news article titled “Allegations of Mistreatment Against Kathmandu School of Law Operator Sangraula” on Facebook. In response to the shared post, the accused made derogatory remarks defaming the victim’s character. The victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office seeking legal action against the accused.
