A 29-year-old woman filed a complaint against Ramlakhan Das, 44, of Kurtha, Janakpur Sub-Municipality-21, at the Kurtha Police Post on March 10. She accused him of mistreating her by accusing her of witchcraft. The victim stated that the accused’s buffalo had been sick for four days with no improvement despite treatment. In response, the accused accused her of practicing witchcraft, verbally abused her, and mistreated her on March 5.
The accused was arrested on March 10 based on the same complaint, and further investigation is ongoing, as per ASI Yugal Chaudhary of the Kurtha Police Post.
