Police arrested 34-year-old Pankaj Pariyar of Mandavi Rural Municipality-2 on February 23 for allegedly killing 60-year-old Ram Bahadur Pariyar and 56-year-old Hukuma Pariyar of Mandavi Rural Municipality-2 on February 21. Inspector Keshav KC of the District Police Office informed that the accused attacked the husband and wife while they were asleep during night, using a hammer, causing fatal injuries. He stated that the incident might have taken place due to personal dispute between the accused and the victims. The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused on February 23 at the District Police Office, and the investigation is ongoing.
The post-mortem of the bodies was done on February 23 at the District Hospital, Bijubar.
