The Namaste tower in Kharpunath Rural Municipality-3, Raya, has been vandalized. A group of unidentified individuals damaged the tower on the night of February 19, disrupting communication services for users. Aiton Rawal, a Local stated that more than 6,000 people in the rural municipality have been affected after the antenna, satellite dish, battery, table, cabinet, and other equipment inside the tower were vandalized.
DSP Shankar Pokharel said that locals reported about the tower vandalism to the District Police Office, Humla, on February 20. He stated that the search for the unidentified group is ongoing and that the Namaste network is currently down, affecting services.
