The District Court of Udayapur sentenced 15-year-old Juvenile to imprisonment for the crime of raping his 6-year-old sister. Registrar Bhesraj Bhattarai of the District Court informed that the bench of Judge Harischanra Ignam on 21 November sentenced the juvenile with 19 days imprisonment along with a compensation of Rs 75,000 and Rs 200 to the victim’s relief fund.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused on October 15, 2023, at the Area Police Office in Katari on October 17, 2023. Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accused from his home on the same day. The case was prosecuted at the District Court on November 3, 2023, and the bench of District Judge Dipak Kumar Kharel on 5 November issued an order assigning the accused to custody.
The health examination of the victim was done on 17 October, 2023 at the District Hospital.
