The District Court has sentenced 36-year-old Thune alias Pom Bahadur Raskoti of Padini Rural Municipality-4, Bhartapur, Geja to one year imprisonment for the crime of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl.
Subba Ram Prasad Acharya of the District Court Case Division informed INSEC that the bench of Shri Shibalal Pandey on September 3 sentenced the accused to a term along with a fine of Rs 40,000 and compensation of Rs 50,000 to the victim. The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office on June 24, alleging that the accused had sexually abused the victim on June 23. Raskoti was arrested on the same day.
The health examination of the victim was done on June 24 at Arghakhanchi District Hospital, Sandhikharka.
