Police arrested 40-year-old Bhishan Jimi of Panchkhapan municipality-2 on August 19 for the charge of mistreating 40-year-old health worker Gyanendra Prasad Shah, in charge of Nagarik Arogya Seva Kendra (health center), Panchkhapan at Tiger Chowk, Panchkhapan Municipality-2. Inspector Ramkumar Lamichhane of the District Police Office said that the accused was arrested from his home on August 19 for investigation.
District Ayurveda Health Center Chief Rampramod Chaudhary reported that Jimi, who had entered the office under the pretext of taking medicine, assaulted Shah on 18 August. The victim verbally reported the incident to the Area Police Office, Bana, on August 19. Inspector Lamichhane stated that the victim subsequently filed a written complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on August 20.
The police registered a case against the accused in the District Court on August 20 under inhumane behavior and proceeded with the action.
