Police arrested Chintamani Basyal on 30 June for the charge of subjecting his 72-year-old father Balkrishna Basyal and 68-year-old mother Jalapi Basyal of Kawasoti Municipality-13 to beating.
The accused injured his parents by hitting them with a door gauge bar while under the influence of alcohol during a dispute.
According to Beda Bahadur Paudel, Information Officer of the District Police Office, both victims sustained injuries to their arms and legs due to the attack. They are currently being treated at Madhyabindu District Hospital.
