The District Court of Sarlahi sentenced 31-year-old Mithur Thapa of Lalbandi Municipality-5 to nine years imprisonment for the crime of raping an 18-year-old girl.
Registrar Sadan Adhikari informed that the bench of Surya Bahadur Thapa of the District Court found the accused guilty and sentenced him to nine years imprisonment along with a compensation of Rs 15,000 to the victim.
The complaint regarding the case was filed at the Area Police Office Lalbandi on September 24 alleging that the accused had raped the victim on August 24, 2023.
The health examination of the victim was done on 25 September at the Sarlahi District Hospital, Malangwa.
