Police arrested 50-year-old Nandalal Roka on May 5 for injuring his 47-year-old wife Kali Roka of Sarada Municipality-8, Simkharka on 4 May, 2024.
Inspector Bhawani Prasad Dhamala of District Police Office informed that the accused attacked his wife with an axe and injured her under the influence of alcohol during a domestic dispute. Consequently, the victim had to get eight stitches on the back of her head. She is currently being treated at the District Hospital.
Inspector Dhamala added that the accused has been arrested following the information received from the aggrieved party and the incident is being further investigated.
