The District Court sentenced six months imprisonment to Premlal Sarki of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan city-18 for sexually abusing a eight-year-old minor.
Registrar Damodar Ghimire of the court informed that the bench of Judge Manoj Kumar Shriwastab on 29 April sentenced the accused to six months imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 20,000 and Rs 50,000 as compensation to the victim.
The aggrieved party on May 11, 2023 filed a complaint against Saraki at the Area Police Office, Tulsipur alleging that the accused had sexually abused the victim on May 10.
Sarki was arrested on 11 May, 2023 and was subsequently released by the District Court on June 4 on a bond of Rs 30,000.
The health examination of the victim was done on 11 May at the Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur.
