Mr. Gautam also shared that INSEC has incorporated the crux of the report in the directive since 2010. He informed about the preparation of the review of the implementation status of recommendations received during the review and the preparation for the fourth cycle.
Advocate Kapil Aryal highlighted the increasing incidents of human rights violations through various reports presented so far.
Although domestic workers are not granted recognition, they are often sent for human trafficking. Even though there is legislation on this matter, it has not been implemented, which the participants suggested should also be mentioned in the report.
For the UPR, the Women’s Network Secretariat, the Secretariat of the marginalized community for the UPR (DARSUC), and the Secretariat of non-governmental organizations in Nepal for the UPR conducted discussions on various human rights issues. Based on these discussions, preparation for the report for the UPR is underway. More than 440 non-governmental organizations are involved in the network.
