Police arrested Krishna Yadav, 30, of Bishnupur Rural Municipality-4 on March 30, 2024 for the charge of abducting and killing a 15-year-old minor of Bishnupur Rural Municipality-4 on June 3, 2023.
Victim’s father filed a complaint at the District Police Office on June 4, 2023 alleging that individuals including 21-year-old Roshan Kumar Mandal, 45-year-old Shakuntladevi Mandal, and 55-year-old Suryanarayan Mandal from Dakneswari Municipality-6 Bathanaha, along with the accused abducted and held his daughter hostage. He claimed that the accused arrived on two motorcycles and abducted the victim in front of their house in Belaha, Bishnupur Rural Municipality-4.
An application was submitted to the High Court Janakpur Rajbiraj Bench on June 7 through the District Post Office after the police did not register the complaint. Subsequently, the High Court Janakpur, Rajbiraj bench issued a mandate to extend the proceedings on September 29. The Public Prosecutor’s Office then informed the District Police Office about the warrant on December 19.
Regarding the same incident, Chandrashekhar Yadav, 40, of Chinnamasta Rural Municipality-7 Barahi, Birpur, the maternal uncle of the victim, filed a complaint at the District Police Office on December 19, alleging that the accused abducted and took the girl to Lajpat Nagar, India and killed her on December 16. The girl was studying in class 10 at Rose Public School in Rajbiraj.
A case under the title of abduction and hostage, rape and human trafficking was registered at the District Poice Offiec on 27 December. The arrest warrant against the accused was issued on 16 January.
