The District Court of Parbat sentenced 29-year-old Dipendra Bk of Gorkha Ajirkot Rural Municipality-5 to 18 years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs.700000 for the crime of rape of an 11-year-old girl on March 5, 2023.
The bench of the honorable Judge Anand Prasad Shrestha on November 7 sentenced Dipendra Bk to 18 years imprisonment and imposed a fine of 30,000 rupees to be paid to the victim and an additional 28,000 rupees to the victim’s relief fund.
According to Raju Dhungana the registrar of Parbat District Court, the accused was kept in custody for trial from March 16, 2023.
The health examination of the victim was done on March 6 at Parbat Hospital.
