Three Street Children, two 12-year-old and one 13-year-old were rescued in Pokhara Metropolitan City-6, Hallan Chowk through a collaborative effort of Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) and human rights workers on October 2, 2023.
A team of human rights workers including INSEC, National Child Rights Council, Child Welfare Officer, Child Helpline Kaski, Shakti Group, Kopila Nepal, Coordinator of Child Labor Reduction Project of Industrial Chamber of Commerce, People’s Representative of Pokhara Metropolitan City-6 and Ward Police Office Baidam rescued the children after getting the information about child neglect in Hallan Chowk in Lakeside of Pokhara.
Bishnumaya Paudel, Child Welfare Officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City, on behalf of human rights activists, placed the rescued children under the care of Radhika Acharya from Child Welfare Project Nepal, Pokhara.
