The District Court Judge Narayan Prasad Paudel has sentenced 32-year-old Dinesh Pariyar of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16 to 12 years imprisonment for the crime rape of a 14-year-old girl.
Additionally, the court has imposed a fine of five thousand rupees on Pariyar and ordered him to pay 20 thousand rupees to the victim’s relief fund.
The victim had filed a complaint at the district police office on February 26, alleging that Pariyar had raped her on February 24, 2023.
A health examination of the victim was conducted on February 26 at Bharatpur Hospital, and the accused was arrested from his home on the same day. Following a court order, the accused was sent to prison on March 8 for preliminary investigation.
