The Human Rights Trainers’ Training Program, organized jointly by the Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) and the Armed Police Force Nepal Headquarters, started on July 9 in Kathmandu.
A total of 25 people, including DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Inspector, Sub Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Armed Police are participating in the program which will be conducted for a week.

During the inauguration session of the training program organized by the Armed Police Force Headquarters in Halchowk, SSP Yuvaraj Aryal expressed confidence that the training will be beneficial for the promotion of the compliance of human rights at the workplace.
Informing about the significant experience of INSEC in human rights education, Information Officer Krishna Gautam, revealed that the Human Rights Trainers Training Program conducted in collaboration with INSEC and the Armed Police Force and has opened avenues for cooperation.
The training will be facilitated by INSEC’s Founding Chairperson and former member of the National Human Rights Commission, Sushil Pyakurel; former Chairperson of INSEC, Subodhraj Pyakurel; Supreme Court Judge Tek Narayan Kunwar; Joint-Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Yagya Prasad Adhikari; Vice-President of the Non-Governmental Organization Federation Nepal, Bhawana Bhatta; and Human Rights Expert, Achyut Acharya.
