The aggrieved party lodged a complaint against Muhammad Asahav Ansari, a 21-year-old resident of Parwanipur in Birganj Metropolitan City-21, on June 26, accusing him of kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl. The complaint was filed at the District Police Office in Parsa.
According to the victim’s parents, the accused abducted the girl from Murli in Birganj on May 17, 2023, and kept her confined in a hotel room, where he proceeded to rape her.
The victim girl underwent a health examination on June 26 at Narayani Hospital in Birganj. DSP Deepak Giri from the District Police Office confirmed that a complaint had been filed, and an investigation had been initiated, citing coercion. He further mentioned that a search operation is currently underway as the accused is on the run.
