District Court has adjourned cases against Shashikant Das, 21, alias Lalu of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-11 Sakhuwa Toll, on June 12, accused of rape of a 16-year-old girl.
Registrar Kumar Maske said the Bench of Saptari District Court Judge, Ramesh Prasad Gyawali decided to adjourn the case.
The victim said that the accused raped her on July 26, 2021, at the bank of the river in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-1 east north of Koshi River. The father of the victim filed a complaint at the Local Police Office in Kanchanrup on August 9, 2021. The victim was examined at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajviraj.
The Local Police Office Kanchanrup registered a complaint on August 9. The police filed a charge sheet against the absconding accused on July 20, 2022.
