A 30-year-old woman who accuses her uncle-in-law of rape, her husband of rape, and the court of unjustly forcing her to divorce her husband has been on a hunger strike for 11 days, since May 11, 2023, in Maitighar Mandla.
She demands action against her husband for rape and divorce without consent, DSP Suraj Karki for forcing her to take the charge of rape against the husband, Judge Badri Prasad Oli who allowed the divorce procedure to proceed against her will, and her uncle-in-law for several attempts of rape.
The victim alleges that she had a physical relationship with the accused in 2018, after she became pregnant, the accused forced her to have an abortion at the hospital on April 3, 2019.
According to the victim, after the abortion, the accused took her to a guest house in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, and forced her to have physical intercourse on April 7, 2019, before the injury from the abortion was healed.
